Faculty

The ROSS research program has received tremendous faculty interest and participation in its first year, growing to 21 faculty members across 4 colleges at Georgia Tech, as well as 4 faculty members from outside institutions. The departments and programs involved in ROSS range across architecture, industrial design, digital media, computing, music technology, biomedical engineering and more, and are representative of the highly cross-disciplinary nature of the ROSS mission. Many ROSS faculty members are also affiliated with the GVU Center, which has provided support and partnership for ROSS activities. The GVU provides expertise and interests that are complimentary to the ROSS mission and themes from a computing perspective. Additionally, 6 student assistants have worked for ROSS in the first year, and the program has engaged many other undergraduate and graduate students from the participating colleges through the research, educational and community building activities discussed in the following sections.
